Dave Douglas

The release of PARALLEL WORLDS suggested strongly that Douglas wasn't going to be imprisoned by generalities… it's a generously eclectic set, very much within a jazz idiom. Douglas often seems as much inspired by humanitarian and political concerns as by purely musical ones, and there is no mistaking the passion and the commitment he brings to his evocation of 'Parallel Worlds' lives lived under conditions that fall far short of ideal.
