Giorgio Gaslini’s 1984 LP Indian Suite, recorded with his Ottetto, is a vibrant and exploratory work that blends jazz with Indian-inspired motifs. It’s part of his acclaimed “Serie Jazz Contemporaneo” and reflects his global musical vision.  Indian Suite is a fusion of jazz improvisation with modal and rhythmic elements drawn from Indian classical music.  Gaslini’s use of voice, percussion, and layered instrumentation creates a rich, cinematic texture.   The album is part of the remastered box set Giorgio Gaslini – The Complete Recordings on Dischi Della Quercia, highlighting its importance in his discography.

Recorded on 9, 10 February 1983 at Studio Barigozzi, Milan
