Escenas Argentinas
The rhythm and beat of their music takes us on an imaginary trip to Argentina; passing through the improvisations that make this group truly unique, as well as their extraordinary ability to envelop different environments and blend them in a whirling kaleidoscope of emotions.
During a meeting between the Argentinean leader and the photographer Giancarlo Ceraudo, the idea to create a musical commentary for the splendid images, fruit of Ceraudo's photographic reportage, was born.
Once again we find ourselves listening to the unaltered melodies written by Girotto and performed by the four band members with utmost skill. The rhythm and beat of their music takes us on an imaginary trip to Argentina; passing through the improvisations that make this group truly unique, as well as their extraordinary ability to envelop different environments and blend them in a whirling kaleidoscope of emotions. "The improvised and the written sit easily together, but there's no mistaking the unifying spirit of the music, which is suffused with a mixture of elegance and sensuality, pleasure and melancholy." (R. Comiskey)
