Dischi Della Quercia is an Italian jazz label, established in Italy, in 1990. Its legendary catalog includes over 40 albums. In the early 1990s Maestro Giorgio Gaslini moves to the other side of the desk and creates the DDQ label to give a voice to Italian musicians and expand the possibilities for his own artistic productions. Over the years, Gaslini becomes increasingly absorbed in numerous artistic engagements, and so entrusts his creation to the experienced Bonandrini family-- founders of the legendary Soul Note label— with whom he had been collaborating for a decade. This trust is well invested: production continues maintaining the same concept, and in just a few years DDQ assembles a catalog of over forty titles. (E.Basso)
