Shifting Grace

"By definition, Grace is not a permanent state. On the other hand, one could barely consider it a state, despite what we are led to believe or rather, a breath, sliding, grazing that waits, is sought after and sometimes passes, thank goodness, skimming over what is arranged for us. It is in search of grace, so precious, so light, so fleeting that Michele Rabbia, Vincent Courtois and Marylin Crispell meet. They harmonise the pitch of their hearts and that of their instruments and listen to each other. Two of them, then three, following ever-changing geometries, they call this moment fleeting, in which balance is tested: it is no longer rising, and not yet falling shiftin' grace".
